Imagine the frustration of wanting to communicate something to someone but not being able to. Our children go through this stage but reading to them increases their vocabulary and in time they will be able to articulate themselves adequately. I used to read the dictionary and the thesaurus which allowed me to express the same sentence in different ways. In these technological times our children miss these learning opportunities while sitting in front of devices. Take the time and Read to your child and show them how much fun reading can be!
